After reading many critical reviews of various hospitals throughout the country, I was slightly apprehensive when I was admitted for my hip replacement op. Wow, I was amazed at how I was treated from start to finish. All the hospital staff I came in contact with were helpful, cheerful, understanding and knowledgeable. Hunter ward staff are really excellent, one or two had a great sense of humour , but all were pleasant and hardworking. The bay was always kept clean and the food surprisingly not bad at all.

I was fortunate to have both hips replaced within 6 weeks, so my second stay tested my original review and I must say it was the same. My doctor was brilliant, he did a fantastic job on my hips, came to see me after each op. my consultant has an excellent team. Now if this service could be replicated throughout the country.......
