If you are on a general ward in this hospital do not expect any care! Having had 2 members of my family in this hospital over the last year we have found staff to be lazy and rude.

My uncle has been left to sit all day in water leaking from his legs sending him into Rigors shock. Unable to swallow they left sandwiches for every meal by his bed to the constant cmplaints of my Aunt.

My blind grandmother was left to feed herself. When my mother upon visiting her found her naked in her chair she requested a blanket which a member of staff took from a clearly dirty bin - she asked him if that was indeed a dirty blanket - which he subsequently lied about and handed over.

These are just a few examples of the porr care my family have received from Southport Hospital - I'm sure there are many more!
