Anything else?
On 14 February I had an operation for an incisional hernia carried out at Torbay Hospital. I spent one night in Cromie Ward and was discharged the day following the operation. Everything about the service provided by the hospital was first class: the quality of the operating theatre, recovery room and the ward; the modern equipment, bed, free wifi, etc; and above all the nursing care. I am particular grateful to the ward sister Gill and her colleagues for excellent nursing care.
Even the hospital food was excellent - generally there is not a hot meal in the evening, but I was asked whether I had had a hot mean that day, and when I said that I hadn't, a generous portion of corned beef hash with crisp (that is freshly cooked) broccoli was provided.
The waiting list for the operation was not too long and altogether the experience was excellent.,
