"Anti Coagulant Clinic"

About: North Middlesex Hospital

Anything else?

I wish to complain about the resiting of the Anti-Coagulant Clinic, Patients were not warned in advance about the change in site. On Monday i had to walk through the main building, out into the cold and then along a winding route to the new site. I was unwell and it was a wonder that i didn't collapse from the long walk.

Once there in was chaos. The poor Anti-Coag. receptionist was bombarded with enquiries from the blood test patients! The waiting room was so small that only a few patients had a seat. Wheel chair patients were blocking the corridor and access. The nurses rooms were so small and probably illegal under the Offices Act.

It is a disgrace what has been done to this clinic. I hope that the Trust Board is aware of this disgraceful situation.

Thank you for your comments which we acknowledge and are grateful for. Can I offer our apologies for your poor experience and our slow response. The clinic has in the last few months moved to a new building and has had some teething problems which we are working on. We're confident we can make improvements and have a plan underway to do so. We are very grateful for your and other patients' feedback. I am the matron for the service and if you would like to discuss it further, please contact me by email (jan.kennedy@nhs.net) and leave a contact number so I can call you back. Thanks again for your help.
