Anything else?
After turning up at A&E with what I thought was a wasp sting on my tongue on June 18th last summer I was seen by the Triage nurse within an extraordinary short time, it seemed like about a minute, then equally quickly by a Doctor, and then treated by a team of the Triage nurse and others in a way that was way beyond "just doing their duty"
I was in a lot of pain apart from the considerable discomfort of a rapidly swelling tongue and fear of blocking my throat. I received constant close attention until the medication took effect that was very comforting to a pretty scared patient.
Every single member of staff that day seemed to go out of their way to be exceptional from the receptionist who evidently noticed I was in trouble to the nurse who discharged me about 4 hours later.
If you get ill and need A&E in Hexham you will be well looked after.
I would have reviewed earlier but did not know you had this facility.
"Excellent treatment in A&E after allergic reaction"
