My wife received a letter telling her she would be admitted for surgery on 18/02/13 she rang to make sure there was a bed and was told to phone back later. On phoning back she was told to have nil by mouth til the next day, still being nil by hours for 15 hours she was admitted and had been prepped for surgery to be told at the last minute to go home. The operation has now been planned for 2 weeks time. this caused a lot of trauma for my wife and family, she has children to care for and a job to consider. If she has to fast for the next scheduled appointment how do we know that this wont happen again.
