"First Time"

About: Manchester PCT Manchester Royal Infirmary / Cardiology

(as the patient),

I went into Manchester Royal Infirmary in March of this year and had a double heart bypass. The surgeon telephoned me the day after my pre op and asked me to go in that same day. The next morning I had my surgery. From that day and for three months after leaving the hospital I was treated like I'd paid £100,000 for my op. The surgeons nurses and and all other staff on the three sections B3 were absolutely fantastic. The district nurses afterwards were just as caring helpful and professional. I even had phone calls from the post op team to check on my progress. The cleanliness of the wards was excellent and the food was in my opinion quite decent. All in all I feel if ever I was to go into hospital again It will hold no concerns for me. Thanks an absolute million NHS.
