"Mums stay at hosiptal"

About: North Manchester General Hospital

Anything else?

My mum recently visited the day centre unit and was put on a ward after her surgery, I went to visit her at 6.30-8pm jus before we left at 8pm mum needed the toilet so we waited for her to go before we left the ward, when she came bk she told a nurse that there was sick that someone had left on the wall and hand rail next to the toilet so the nurse said thanks for telling us we will sort it. Mum went to the toilet again in the morning before she left the ward to go home and the sick had still not been cleaned, I think this is absolutely disgusting and the nhs wonders why there are so many cases of mrsa and germs etc in hospitals. I'm appalled by this and will never recommend the hospital to anyone in the future. Also when my mum was leaving the ward they didn't even talk to her about discharge etc and jus left her medicine and a letter on the table for her to find herself after having a shower. Then she had to approach staff to make sure it was ok to go home. Also she wasn't allowed to leave recovery after the operation and go to a ward while she was in pain until it was controlled and she was comfortable but the ward discharged her when she had to the nurse in the morning she was still in pain! Bizarre!!
