After reading comments about cancer ward b28 and the chemo day unit i would like to add my say to it .

I was diagnosed with cancer last oct and have attended both .

I found staff in ward B28 very uncaring and i did not like my time there one bit , I would like to say one or two of the nurses were excellent the rest were very bad .

As for the chemo day unit,some of the staff can be a unfriendly and seem not to do a good job but again,one or two are excellent ?

About the leaflets on display there , we all know that information needs to be available ,but i think the people complaining were saying, do we need to have these leaflets on show everywhere you look ( and i agree)?

The previous commenter may have liked them but that does not say everyone else does .

I think the new day unit is an improvement .

Thank you for your comments on B28 and on the Chemotherapy Day Unit. Your comments have been passed to the appropriate manager for investigation and futher action. We regularly review the nature and type of leaflets on display in the Unit so that these are up to date and provide the type of information which our patients require. Some patients find the ability to pick up these leaflets very useful but we are aware that some patients can find the leaflets themselves upsetting and we are seeking ways to mitigate this.
