"Good service in general"

About: Royal Oldham Hospital

Anything else?

We went to the women's and children's unit as I am 35 weeks pregnant and had no movement of by baby for over 24 hours. As expected with a new build it was spotless and well maintained. When we arrived we had to wait a couple of minutes to be buzzed in at which point another member of staff going in let us through. After this we were quickly seen by a midwife. She was fantastic and put my mind straight as ease. She is a credit to the team and a fantastic people person. All was well with baby she started moving again and her pulse rate came down eventually. I was happy my baby was ok. I hope we get the same midwife during our little girls birth she deserves 5 stars.

What could be improved 1- answering the door 2- storage of equipment needed we had midwifes in and out of the room collecting equipment from the cupboard. 3- the next midwife who came to consult with the midwife we were being seen by did not seem one bit compassionate and gave of the impression of why are you here.
