"Which is more important a meeting or a patient?"

About: Chelsea & Westminster Hospital / Dermatology

(as the patient),

“patch tests” for allergies necessitate three visits,

1 monday - patch fixed on (all x 78 of them)

2 weds - patches removed

3 friday - verdict from doctor

The appointment was made back in the summer for December. On arrival on the Monday I was told that the friday appointment had been cancelled - a “suit” had called a meeting! So I got very angry. The nurse and consultant involved were really good = duties swapped around and the doc left the meeting to see me. But this should not have happened in the first place. Which is more important a meeting or a patient?

Hello,

I am sorry to hear about your unsatisfactory experience in the Dermatology unit. I will send your feedback to the Dermatology manager for comment and further respond in a few days.

Would you like to send me your details through the PALS office so we can further investigate - it would help to narrow down the details such as the exact location, date and time of your appointment.

email: pals@chelwest.nhs.uk or telephone 020 3315 6727 - please ask for Sian Nelson

Many thanks for your feedback.
