"Dermatology surgery"

About: Lincoln County Hospital

Anything else?

Visited the clinic had an excellent consultation and discussion with the Consultant who advised surgery and offered for it to happen that day. Only had to wait 20mins whilst everything was got ready, Nurses were very friendly and reassuring and the whole proceedure was done and sorted out in 1 hour from first appointment. I have been to dermatology at other sites and this is the best consultant I have met and also the most organised clinic despite having cramped conditions and a very busy list .

Shame that they are so crammed in and the only issue is that the walls between clinic rooms is very thin and the nurse in the adjacent room had a very deaf patient so confidentiality could be a problem, But overall well done one of the best departments in Lincoln hospital

Thank you very much for taking the time to tell us about your experiences; I have passed this onto the teams involved and I know they will be pleased.

You are right that the environment is short of space and that this can make things difficult; sadly space is in short supply - however your observations of the thin walls and a deaf patient in the next room is something we need to consider and I will speak with the outpatient sister to see if there is anything we can do.

Thank you again.

Thank you again.

Dear Magicerm - a quick update following your recent posting.

I fed back to the outpatient department about the thin walls and being able to overhear conversations and we are looking to purchase some special portable amplifiers to use in the rooms which allow staff to speak softly but patients still to hear. Thank you again for your feedback.
