"brilliant to terrible"

About: Royal Cornwall Hospital (Treliske)

Anything else?

The nurses and doctors in pre-surgery ward are fantastic and cannot be faulted. Once you are out from surgery to Tolgus or Poldark you are basically in the way.I had to help some 80 yr old man off toilet he had been stuck in for 2hrs groaning at 3am. People in agony had to wait 20 miutes or more for bell response to get painkillers.Man opposite could not reach his food so i rang bell and asked politely if she could move it nearer to him and she said she only dealt with 4 beds my side. She did feel ashamed enough to move it in the end.The state of the toilets was disgusting and how anyone gets out of there without picking up some bug is a miracle. In my opinion the management want to buck up.When every nurse is going to and fro looking straight down the aisle to avoid eye contact in case someone wants attention you know somethings wrong. Make the nurses in charge of pre-surgery wards run the other wards and it would be solved immediately.
