In January 2013 I had to visit A & E as I had a abrasion that wouldn't stop bleeding. I was dreading visiting A & E on a Saturday morning. On entering the receptionist was more than curteous and took my details. I was informed that the waiting time was 2 to 2 1/2 hours as the waiting room was full of Friday night revellers. After only approx 15 minutes I was called through by a nurse who dressed my wound and stopped the bleeding. She said she would check that the bleeding had not started again in approx 30 minutes which she did and I could then go home.
