Anything else?
Firstly apart from 1 nurse on ward 32 all the staff i have encounted have been lovely .I had an op 4th Dec and again on 6th Feb i cant fault the team involved in that but there has been few things that have made me wonder.in the recovery rm on the 4th dec a doctor callapsed with suspected noro virus while i was recovering there was a nurse holding their tunic over her mouth saying the room needed a red clean and they needed to protect herself as they were on monitoring not something you want to be hearing in a recovery rm.secondly my notes were misplaced due to the strike i was meant to have a follow up appointment 4wks after my first op never happened i had to chase app up only to be told i had cancer so its a good job i did.on my second op i had to stay longer due to feeling so unwell and having few complications i was vomiting and the nurse on ward 32 said to me i had no more than a tension headache and should have a more positive attitude to my diagnosis and to stop getting myself worked up it was just an allegic reaction.this is not helpfull when yor 34 and told you have a rare cancer and your feeling so ill .nobody wants to be in hosp or feeling as ill as i felt at that point with no answers.i was discharged with wrong info again and to top it off i was told i must have follow up app in 3 weeks i had an app come through for 6 wks later quite honestly its frightening when you have cancer to think that my life is solely in there hands
