Anything else?
In light of the recently released Francis report in a climate where everyone is focussing on what hospitals are doing wrong I felt I had to write about the amazing experience I have had at the Great North Children's Hospital.
My daughter has a chronic kidney condition which means regular visits to hospital for us and, once in a while, an emergency trip. We are constantly greeted by friendly faces in an immaculate environment which is appealing to the children. There are toys a plenty and staff on hand to occupy the children while they wait to be seen.
We have never encountered a delay in being seen and every member of staff we have encountered has treated us with the utmost respect. Staff do their best to make the visit stress-free for parents and children alike.
I feel so fortunate to have this amazing facility right on my doorstep and with to extend my eternal gratitude to all those who have made this hospital what it is.
"Really is great!"
