I am shocked and extremely disappointed with the quality of care at Ellesmere Port Hospital. Most patients were in discomfort and very completely ignored by the members of staff. We arrived to find another women on my nan's bed which should of been dealt with immediately by a member of staff, which was very low (3 caring for around 20 patients). The staff were not willing to interact with any visitors and one Nurse saw me upset and angry (because of the poor conditions) and glared at me then gloated to other staff members. I feel that this hospital is not the kind of environment where older people who need care and attention should be placed. In addition, that if anything bad happens on my next visit, I will formally complain.
