"Terrible Treatment"

About: Hull Royal Infirmary

Anything else?

I was seen by the Neurolgy team at HRI. i was referred by my GP as i was having seizures. My GP said epilepsy but i was unsure as no history or family history. The Consultant i saw immediately said yes it is epilepsy. at the time i was happywith this as a consultant will look at all possible options.

i have since found out that a medication i was puton causes seizures in a very very small number of people. Neurologists are aware of this but my consultant hasnt even considered it once. I have been trying for two weeks to speak to them about this and ask for the tests i never had to find out one way or the other but all that has happened is that they have discharged me and is now refusing to talk to me at all.

I am a scared patient with serious questions and the team ignore me. this is an embarrassment to the NHS.

would never recommend this hospital for anyone with neurology concerns! Ever
