"someone was booked into my appointment in Clinic D"

About: Telford referral and quality service (TRAQS) The Princess Royal Hospital (Telford)

(as the patient),

I was shocked that after waiting nearly 2 months to get my appointment, that on arrival at the Princess Royal Hospital clinic D that somebody else was booked into my time slot and there were no records for me or any records of me being seen. Fortunately the doctor/specialist made time to see me and I expect to receive an appointment at Oakengates clinic within the next 4 weeks. I am disappointed with the first contact with TRAQS. I have come to expect mistakes now with the health service, due to cuts and overworked staff. It is a sad state of affairs.

I am disappointed to hear that on arrival at the Princess Royal Hospital they had no record of your appointment. However, TRAQS do not cancel an appointment once booked unless the patient requests the appointment is cancelled or rebooked. I am concerned that the appointment which was agreed when you spoke to the TRAQS team was cancelled.
