"Car parking and road congestion"

About: The James Cook University Hospital

Anything else?

Car parking is expensive. The website charges are wrong and appear not to have been updated for some considerable time. Leaving the hospital can be very difficult depending on the time of day. If you are unlucky and have an appointment at the morning and evening rush hours you need to add at least an extra 30minutes to your journey time.

Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry you have cause for concern regarding parking at The James Cook University Hospital. The trust's website has been checked and all the prices are correct for The James Cook University Hospital and the Friarage Hospital, Northallerton. Hourly prices and prices for regular visitor’s permits have also been checked.

With regards to the cost of parking, the Trust's prices are in line with other Trusts, and there is a discount if visitors come to site regularly by purchasing a regular visitors permit. We acknowledge that during peak times there will be high volumes of traffic as staff are also getting on and off site.

The trust are continuously striving to improve the service it provides. If you would like to discuss your concerns further, please do not hesitate to contact the Patient Relations Department on 01642 854500.

Yours sincerely

Linda Oliver
