"Treatment in Minor Injuries unit for Fractured..."

About: Northampton General Hospital (Acute)

Anything else?

After a slip and fall in the ice my shoulder continued to be very painful after 2 days without treatment so I went to the Minor Injuries Unit for an assessment. The triage system worked well and within 10-15 minutes I was sent for an x-ray. After the x-ray I returned to the M.I. unit and after another 10-15 the same member of staff who saw me originally told me that I had a fracture of the shoulder and administered the appropriate treatment.

Throughout my visit everybody who dealt with me was quite charming, made me feel that I mattered and explained exactly what would happen next. The level of care and professionalism I witnessed throughout my visit was exemplary and I should like to place on record my appreciation to everybody concerned. I really don't think I could have been treated better anywhere else.
