"A & E and Ainslie Ward"

About: Torbay Hospital

Anything else?

I was admitted at very short notice having been sent to A and E by my GP; and spent four days in Ainslie Ward with a leg infection. All staff I met in A and E were friendly and everything was well organized and efficient. Assessment and decision making were quick ( but not too quick) and gave me confidence. I was very well looked after in Ainslie Ward.

Nursing staff were all very good. The operation to clean out the abscess was very well managed and caused me no discomfort at all. Throughout my stay in Ainslie Ward I was offered painkillers but had no need of them; partly, no doubt , due to the nature of my problem , but also I think due to the quality of care.

Dear Mr Higgins,

Thank you for your kind comments. It was encouraging to hear about the positive experience you had in both A&E and Ainslie Ward. Your comments will be shared with both teams, as staff do appreciate the time people take to provide feedback. We wish you a continued good recovery.
