About: Tameside General Hospital

Anything else?

I took my husband to A and E over the weekend, we found the doctor and staff extremely good and informed us exactly what was happening, the treatment for my husband was excellent and ongoing care was organised, We did find the waiting area very cold, my husband has a vascular problem and a bit of warmth would have helped.Otherwise everything was fine.

Thank you for sharing your positive experience on the NHS Choices website. It is pleasing to read your comments with regard to your care, treatment and effective communication and I will ensure that the team is made aware. I will ask Gillian Parker, Director of Estate and Facilities to investigate why the waiting area was cold as a matter of urgency. Thank you for choosing Tameside Hospital as your hospital of choice. Kind regards John Goodenough Director of Nursing Would you like to help the hospital to improve its services further? We are currently looking for patients and carers to become involved in a development called “Patient Stories”. We want to know more about our services from the point of view of those who received them – what was good, bad, what could be improved, what should be changed. Want to know more about what’s involved? Please contact John Goodenough, Director of Nursing at john.goodenough@tgh.nhs.uk
