Anything else?
I recently had to visit the Walk-in Centre at Ashford (Surrey/Middx) Hospital. As I was in pain, and concerned about a physical condition that had developed. I was already on medication for other closely related conditions. Whilst I had almost a two hour wait, the time spent on me and help given, made it worthwhile.. I was seen by a nurse who couldn't have been nicer. She showed great concern for me and was determined to get to the bottom of the problem. She called on the doctor who attended without delay, and the two ladies together reassured me, and after further examination settled on a course of action. I was fully involved throughout, and everything was explained in a way that was easy to understand. They even took the trouble to provide me with a written note, so that I could pursue the necessary actions. I left feeling that I had made great progress, and 24 hours later I am already feeling some relief from my problem.
I cannot recall receiving such thorough and considerate treatment before, and if this is the way of the modern NHS it has a lot to be proud of. I hope someone weill convey my thanks to these two brilliant proffessionals.
