Anything else?
When you are dependant on hospital staff as an in-patient for 9 weeks it is very difficult to pluck up the courage to complain about the way you are treated. The repercussions can be horrific as I discovered when I dare ask for the table next to my bed to be put back so I could reach it. Big sigh from the nurse and she slammed it into my amputated leg stump. I never asked for anything again. Was also made to feel that I was to blame for the MRSA . The food was awful, tasteless rubbish.
Cleanliness was a total joke. Bloody dressings on the floor next to my bed for 4 days. Another thing :: Why can:t the nurses bring all the dressings, scissors, etc with them when they know what they need to treat the patient. They always "forget" something which then takes them 15 minutes to find.
How many wards are shut today at Bedford South Wing due to infection? Not enough in my opinion
"Cleanliness, dignity, nursing care"
