"Not happy with advice from NHS Direct"

About: NHS Direct NHS Trust

(as the patient),

Contacted NHS Direct as I was peeing blood very heavily for advise and information on medication taken. After 1/2 hour I still was no clearer on my health or the process I needed to take but instead I was told to stop (if I had) eating beetroot and rhubarb! My past history of prostate problems was not considered or was I advised to see my GP.

I am shocked to think that this is what the NHS has come to and quite worried that this kind of information given out might stop someone actually going to their doctor for further examination and being treated.
