"Uncaring attitude "

About: Glasgow Royal Infirmary / Gynaecology

(as the patient),

The attitude of some nurses I came into contact with was very uncaring and it seemed obvious to me they hated the job and didnt want to be there. In fact one of them actually said this!

I was left alone at night when I was vomiting badly after my operation. The nurse on duty didn't seem interested. The nurse had a number of other patients to see to. I feel very disappointed about the lack of care I received from some nurses.

I am saddened by the very uncaring attitude I experienced. I don't feel I was treated with respect.

I would be very worried and scared if I ever had to go back to the royal infirmary as a patient!

Thank you for taking the time and trouble to provide your feedback.

I am sorry that this posting was not acknowledged at the time, we had a break in our use of Patient Opinion, but we have now resumed doing so, and I thought it was still important to acknowledge your posting.

You raised a number of issues that are of concern and I have passed your comments on to the manager responsible for these services to share your experience with local staff.

Paul
