"Not satisfied with A and E"

I manage a care home and I accompanied one of our clients with epilepsy, autism and learning disability to A and E. He had some cuts and bruises on his forehead as a result of slipping at the side of the road. We were asked to sit down and wait for half an hour even though the A and E wasn't busy. I have to ask the staff at the nurses station when is our client going to be seen as he can exhibit challenging behaviour when kept waiting. When we were attended to by the nurse, they were really amiable. After cleaning and applying glue on the client's open wound to close it and stop it from bleeding, for some reason our client's right eye was also glued shut! Disaster! Another nurse had to come in and applied cream just to pry the client's right eye open. On discharge, no instructions were given to us- i.e. if the person feels sick bring the person back. We were just told about a leaflet on head injury which we need to take back home. I think the nurse who attended our client is lacking the correct 'nursing' skills needed to do the job.
