"Being made to feel bad by the Gp"

About: Barking and Dagenham PCT

(as the patient),

I have been having problems for sometime now with numbness, Pain, Extreme tiredness and generally feeling extremely weak. I visit The Gp surgery a few times with concerns at one point I could Hardly walk due to the pain, I was sent home with a prescription for ibuprofen and Pretty much told nothing was wrong.

I was in a lot of pain but that was ignored, I went back soon after as the problems were not getting any better. The doctor referred me to a neurologist at a local hospital in september, I finally had an appointment in December which still has given me no answers. During the wait my health was getting worse, I was suffering more pain and weakness left me unable to lift a cup at times.

I went back again as I was concerned and it was having an effect on my family as at times I was soo tired and weak to help them. As soon as I mentioned why I was there the Doctors tone completely changed and started asking why I keep coming back with the same problem and that I should know that the referral had already been made.

His whole tone was very rude and came across as though he was telling me off. He only offered to help once he had reduced me to tears, He offered medication to help me sleep and another to the neurologist.

I'm still no better but I no longer feel comfortable seeing the Gp with this issue, I'm at the point now I'm hoping the neurologist can find out why I feel so unwell as I do not want to feel like a burden again by seeing the GP.

This is not the first Doctor of that surgery to be rude. A previous Doctor made comment on my poor choice of a father for my children due to his mental health issues and why did I get married then end the relationship.
