Treatment was first class. Was seen fairly soon after arrival. Checked by a nurse and was given pain relief. Waited then a while to be seen by nurse in minor injury unit. Send to X-ray ,was seen again fairly soon after registering. Was treated again relatively quick after diagnose of broken wrist. Whilst we were waiting we noticed the ridiculous method of cleaning done by a person all fitted out with everything necessary for the job and well dressed in uniform, gloves, apron etc. but obviously not having a clue how to properly carry out this task.

My husband and I have regrettably visited a number of NHS Hospitals during December and January, namely NHS Hospital/Sheffield, William Harvey/Ashford, St Thomas/ London and medical treatment was first class, alas in all hospitals the cleaning regimes were below expected standards. Cleaning staff were again equipped very well but left to their own devises with no one actually watching what and how the cleaning was done. What a waste of money. We were not the only ones noticing this, other patients on the wards were making comical remarks about it. Not a laughing matter in my books. Hope this review will trigger someone To investigate and resolve the matter.Why is cleanliness still a problem in the NHS.

We are aware that positive feedback is such a powerful tool to support staff. With regard to your comments concerning the cleaning regime this will be reported to the organisation responsible for our cleaning in the Trust - your direct comments will be provided - and also recorded on our database to establish if there is a continuing theme regarding this from users of our service. I hope that this reassures you that action will be taken .
