Anything else?
I would like to thank the consultant and his team for offering the opportunity and benefits administered to me using acupuncture.
Six years ago I had a successful total thyroidectomy. But, as a result, I was left in constant pain in my neck, chest and right arm.
This obviously hindered me in my job and in my daily life. I was on pain killers with restricted movements as a result of the pain. I found I was not able to socialise or do much else as I found that movements were often too painful.
Following discussions with my surgeon and GP, I was referred to the Pain Clinic where I was able to receive acupuncture in 2008 and again in 2010. It was then I was able to experience pain-free days and nights - the benefits of acupuncture has allowed me to live a full life once again.
My final consultation on 8 November 2012, has seen that I have now had 2 years pain-free, I no longer need to be seen for pain.
I am now a firm advocate of acupuncture. It is vital such a Clinic is available to many on the NHS as it really does work.
Once again, thank you to my consultant and team.
