"Full Hysterectomy Nov 2012"

About: Cannock Chase Hospital / Gynaecology

(as the patient),

I was in ward 8 late last year. I had a Full- Hysterectomy and I found no worries about the operation or the after-care, although slightly confused that I was let out only after three days as I had prepared myself for at least a week or so.

I am very lucky as it turned out to be the beginning of Ovarian Cancer, which my consultant believes is all out, but I've still got to have four month blood-tests.

Thank you to those who operated on me and cared for me.

The only objective worry I have is the fact that patients are now allowed to go out of the ward and walk around the hospital etc. I don't think that should be allowed as it brings back maybe illness from other areas or they even make themselves worse.

Dear "SCB"

Thank you for taking the time to support us with this positive feedback. I am delighted to hear of your recovery and wish you well with the future tests. I have forwarded your thanks to the surgical matron for her to share with the staff and consider your observations
