"stitches removed at Swallownest Health Centre"

About: Swallownest Health Centre

(as the patient),

Went to see the nurse at the health centre for removal of stitches. She talked through what she was going to do and was very good. Same cannot be said about the reception staff I spoke to.

Dear Loot581

Thanks for taking the time to share your experiences; we have passed your comments on to the practice staff, and will post again if there are any further comments or actions from this.

We will also be collating all the feedback on this type of procedure, which is new to GP practices, and using it to inform how services are provided in the future.

Response from Helen Wyatt, Manager, Patient and Public Involvement , Quality Assurance Team, Rotherham Clinical Commissioning Group

Dear Loot581

Following your posting, the practice manager at Swallownest Health Centre has contacted me. He would be very interested to know more about the issues you described at reception, and wonders if you can provide any more information, to enable him to take this forward. You could do this in several ways, please note that two of these will enable you to remain anonymous, should you prefer this:-

- by contacting Steve Carr, the Practice Manager directly, on 01709 254254

-by describing the issues here in a further post

- by calling me - Helen Wyatt - on 01709 302042

- you could arrange to flag these issues up with the Practice Participation Group, both Steve and I have contact details for the group

I do hope that you chose to share the details of the concerns with us, this really does help us to improve our services.

Helen
