Pembury is a joke! I came in because my waters broke I was told to wait and spoken to like I was thick saying I was lying that I had just wet myself! 1 hour wait later I was examined with water everywhere I was told it was my waters! I was then taken to delivery where a useless nurse tried to fit a canular, in the wrong place! Was told I'd be induced that night then got moved back to maternity triage ward where my partner was told he could stay but couldn't have a blanket even though it was freezing in my room! Was then told I'd be induced at 6am, 12 came and was finally taken down after complaining. Was put on a drip at 2 and left with a student midwife that didn't know what she was going, pains got worse I got left for hours on my own buzzing but with no reply strapped to a monitor and freezing cold! I had told them I'm exhausted as the night before I was woken up every hour for pointless reasons so would not be able to push but they didn't listen. I was rudely spoken to by all staff and ignored throughout labour. It was time to push and oh look I'm unable to push so forceps delivery was needed, I was then stitched up, wrong! After delivery I was left on my own in my room covered in blood, blood on the floor and was unable to feel my legs due to epidural, I had a new born baby to look after that night and was left totally alone. Luckily my mum was able to come up to help as I was asking for painkillers and told il be back but they never came. I wasn't offered breakfast or food and was nil by mouth for 24 hours prior to this. I had no sleep for 72 hours! Staff were unsympathetic to my phobia of tablets and laughed at me, I dared to ask for a bottle of formula for my baby and was moaned at even though I was told don't use your own formula we have some! I'm now back in pembury after being promised il be seen straight away I've been waiting 2 hours just so they can look at my stitches as they stitched me up wrong! I am looking into taking this further as I'm disgusted by the rudeness of staff, lack of communication or compassion and am annoyed that they get away with it! I will never have a baby here again and have told my pregnant friends not to come here!
