"Poor care/communication"

About: King George Hospital

Anything else?

My Mother in Law was admitted to Queen's 18.01.13 then transferred to Japonica Ward 19.01.13. She is still on that ward and the care appears to be well below the basic standard that I have come to expect from our NHS. Where do I start?

language barriers, no respect, no prompting of medication/ food. No concerns raised regarding her lack of nutrition/fluid. No concerns raised that she has refused personal care , refused antibiotics and appears delirious. Importantly no firm diagnosis of what her illness is. One night she spent 2 hours sitting in her own bodily fluids whilst her son tried to get some assistance and was totally ignored to the point where the hospital manager had to intervene. Eye drops promised on the 20.01.13 but not administered until 25.01.13.
