"Brilliant treatment at A&E"

About: Horton General Hospital

Anything else?

I had an accident involving a chainsaw and my leg resulting in a deep laceration and consequently needed to go to A&E at the HGH. I was almost immediately seen by a nursing sister who for the next two or three hours together with various assistants and a doctor, sorted out my problem and sent me on my way. During the time I was there they were highly professional, courteous helpful and engaging. Subsequent visits to the trauma clinic and my GP's surgery left me fully fit, healed and delighted with my treatment. All concerned were a credit to themselves, their profession and the NHS. Thank-you all.

Thank you for taking the time to post details of your experience at the Horton General Hospital. As a patient, you clearly state what is important to you and that is “highly professional, courteous helpful and engaging staff”. All staff in the Trust work hard on improving the patient experience and comments such as this show us that our patients are benefiting from this work. However, we do value all feedback because (as in your case) it provides a showcase of areas where we do well, but it can also help us identify areas that may need attention.

We hope your injuries are healing well and once again, thank you for your positive comments.
