Anything else?
Having spent several months attending appointments at Orthopaedic outpatients following a torn tendon injury, and seeing the registrar along with visits to the plaster room, my care had been excellent. On my last and final visit I was seen by the Consultant who had an air of complete disinterest. I attempted to ask some questions regarding advice to prevent further incident and was quickly dismissed with my questions disregarded. The Consultant's only remarks being "it is down to you" - whatever that is supposed to mean in terms of ' what steps can i take to protect the injured site when out walking or cycling?". He then inferred that it my own fault as I had already had an accident to the same area. I don' t think anyone goes out of their way to injure their achilles tendon. I am left unsure as how to manage my injury against any further damage and feel what had started as a good experience had ended on a very disappointing, upsetting and annoying one. It looks like the internet will have to be my source of help and advice.
