My husband was referred by his GP and was asked to attend an appointment at the Imaging Department. We were impressed with the times that the department is open 8.00am - 8.00pm which meant that my husband didn't need to take time off work and lose money as he was offered an evening appointment.

We had arrived early for the appointment as we went straight from work, and my husband was seen much earlier than his appointment - usually it's the other way around in NHS services are you wait for hours!

The staff were friendly and considerate, they made him feel relaxed and talked him through what they were doing. He felt able to ask questions and they gave him the information needed.

Cleanliness wasn't all it could be - there were empty water bottles (from previous patients I assume) left on tables in the waiting area, and plastic cups full of water lying around, but to be fair I didn't see a bin that these could have been put in nearby.

I used the ladies loos on the way out, these were not clean at all. Toilet paper on the floor, looked unkempt and not very hygienic. I 'hovered' and then decided against washing my hands as it was probably safer not to touch the washbasin just in case!

For us, service was great - cleanliness was the downfall.

Thank you for your comment. I am pleased that your husband was seen quickly and looked after well. We do take cleanliness and hygiene very seriously, so your comments on the state of the toilets is concerning. I will speak to the managers responsible for this area to ensure that they receive this feedback.
