Anything else?
My son recently required medical attention at Sunderland Royal hospital, initially within the paediatric A&E department and also following admission to Ward F64 (19th January). The care and treatment he received was exemplary.
One of the nurses in F64 was brilliant, light hearted and zany (in a lovely way!) and completely put my son at ease.
The nurse in A&E during my son's second visit on 24th January, was caring, calm and attentive.
The star of the show however was a Nurse Practitioner, who was engaging, caring, thorough and totally in control. I can't say enough about them and my son is certainly a big fan!
Thanks to all of the other staff and doctors who tended to my son during his stay. Paediatric A&E is well organised and a credit to our health service. During a time of great anxiety and worry for a parent, it's incredibly reassuring to feel that you're in the best possible hands.
