"An experience I would not wish on anyone"

About: University Hospital Of North Tees

Anything else?

I Had a total abominal Hysterectomy and removal of both ovaries, I spent 3 nights in North tees Hospital during which I was moved rooms 3 times Once at 11.15 pm. I witnessed dirty bed pans left in the toilet, fecal matter on the floor puddles of Urine also, The toilet roll dispenser was broken for 2 days so the roll was left on top of the toilet . I has to request medication I should have gotten on my first day I did not get it till the third day. I received no wound care advice until I asked for it, a nurse actually bought me 4 small plasters to change my dressing, she thought I had had a laparoscpic procedure rather than a bikini cut. There is not communication between Pharmacy and ward, I waited until 2.15 for discharge medication that was ready at 9.15. There are some really lovely staff there who care deeply about their patients and I feel bad to leave such a bad review but this is the truth as I see it. I am recovering much better now .
