After suffering from a prolonged period of suicidal depression, I finally confessed to my GP who was, I) extremely supportive, ii) understanding, iii) sympathetic, and iv) positive.
She prescribed SSRI's and monitored me. Weekly she also referred me to the "Bridge" for CBT, which has been very useful and helped me prepare a way forward.
