"unwelcome and upset"

About: Weston General Hospital

Anything else?

i am currently expecting my second baby and at 34 weeks was experiencing pain and discomfort. as told by my midwife if i had any problems or concerns to go to the hospital to get checked out. after being in discomfort for 3 days my partner thought it would be best to go and get checked to make sure baby was ok. i arrived at ashcome maternity unit and was looked at and spoken to like i was an inconvenience to the staff. the manner that i was spoken in was very unwelcoming and made me feel very uncomfortable. they told me i couldnt be examined as i was only 34 weeks and they could only do it if i was 37 weeks. they could do my blood pressure and listen to baby quickly as she insisted she had another appointment. she then said i had to go to bristol with any further problems. i have planned to have my baby at weston but now i will be going to bristol as i feel the standard of attitude and care is very poor and i was quite upset when i left the hospital.
