Anything else?
My ninety year old father was admitted with acute sickness that his GP's could not stop. He was very ill and told me he wanted to die, a heartbreaking time. I asked him if he wanted me to convey this to the doctors and he did. He went on the Liverpool Pathway program and after a few days improved quite dramatically and he wanted to live again, and with consultation with the doctors came off it. Sadly this didn't last as he had other complications and eventually went back on the program and sadly died on the 2nd January.
Throughout this nightmare time for our family the nurses care, respect and dignity for my father and my family was outstanding. They were patient and kind with a calm air about them all and even in the last days of my fathers life made sure he was in no pain and comfortable. I cannot thank these wonderful people enough
