Anything else?
i went in the leicester general for a simple operation one ive had many times , i was arrived on a ward which i was told i would stay on untill my op then be moved to another after , i arrived at hospital a 7am and went down for my op around 3.30 pm i was told i was 3rd on the list in all this time i had not one conversation with any nurse or hca i only found out that i had been changed to 4th on the list when i looked at the board. my bed was next to the nurses station and i sat there spending all my time hearing them talk to each other about other staff problems at home the state of the nhs etc etc, i had never felt so alone , after my op on a differant ward now not one doctor or my own consultant came to see me i had no idea what to expect from my op or if they found any problems etc i knew noithing , i ended up staying over night and the next morning was asked if i was ready to leave as they needed the bed i left alone with no medication or letters etc and walked off the ward on my own which wasnt easy and got in a taxi alone not they would of noticed . i have been in the leicester general a few time and the glenfield and its the same all the time . i might as well be invisible. i had to go to my GP who had to search the system ti find out about my op etc as he has never recieved any letters from one of my many ops not one bit of info , it seems its not only the patient who is left in the dark .
