About: Manchester Royal Infirmary

Anything else?

visited the royal. as i could not walk or put any weight on my heel. i didnt mind waiting. as i no its a busy place. when i seen the doctor. she didnt even look at me. said go round 4 xray when you come back. tel me. i did. xray people was so nice. i srugled there and back. in agony. then was told to go wait back in waiting area. not sit on the nearest seat because your in pain.. no. walk alittle more on the foot you cant put down..I was not called back by the doctor by a nurse who said she was told to strap it up, she didn’t know what the outcome was. She didn’t know the doctor had not bothered to see me, explain I had tendon damage.. i was not asked what pain was like. or if id been sat in AnE for more then 4hours. so would i like some pain killers. as i was clearly there due to the pain.. very very very unprofeconal... didnt take no intrest what so ever.. i was given a tuba grip. no pain killers. no anti inflamitries. to help the build up of flued go down.. as it was late when i left. no shop open for medican at that time. iv been awake all night in pain. i am descusted at the lack of care and intrest.. the nurse was nice. but clearly just being polite. i will never visit the royal. or recomend it.. totally disgusted.

We are very sorry to receive your comments and concerns via the NHS Choices / Patient Opinion website about your experiences on Accident & Emergency. This is not the level of care we want any of our patients to experience and I am very sorry you have been left feeling this way. It is very difficult to respond to the specific concerns you have raised without being able to investigate in detail. We take all issues surrounding patient care very seriously and would very much like to hear from you directly about this. If you contact our Patient Advice and Liaison Service on 0161 276 8686 or by e-mailing pals@cmft.nhs.uk they will be happy to discuss this with you.
