I recently gave birth to my son at the RVI, and I couldn't fault the maternity unit in any way! From the induction suite, right through to the post-natal ward, the care given was brilliant! I would like to give a massive thank you to the midwife who cared for me on the delivery suite, (I never got to thank her properly afterwards I was so out of it from the gas and air!) who was so kind, and looked after me so well. As soon as I arrived there, she explained everything thoroughly, and listened to everything I said. We were worried that with us being younger than most parents, that we would be spoken down to, and patronized, however, she spoke to us like she would anyone else, and made us feel at ease. She was very encouraging, I couldn't have asked for a better midwife! She really made my experience amazing, so thank you so much for everything! I really hope we get her again in the future! xx
