"No sign as to where you are"

About: Moorfield Clinic

(as the patient),

I had to go to Moorfield Clinic at Fartown Health Centre, Huddersfield, to see a Dr Buckle.

As I pulled into the car park I asked two District Nurses if I was at the right place. One said I am not sure, and the second one said go inside and see the receptionist.

When you get inside there is a sign above a door, not at reception, and I had to ask even when I was inside the building.

Couldn't a sign be put outside the building, so that you would know you were at the right centre? Even the Doctor agreed with me and said he had asked, but it seemed as though it had fallen on deaf ears.

Dear FENWAY

Thank you for taking the time to post regarding this issue. I passed on your query to Cliff Dunbavin, Service Manager. He responds;

"Thank you for bringing this to our attention. It is important that our patients arrive for their appointments as relaxed as possible without the frustration of not knowing if they are in the correct place or not. As a result of your posting on Patient Opinion I made further enquiries and whilst we haven't received any complaints regarding the signage, it appears that other patients have mentioned it in passing. I also went and had a look myself.

So, as a direct result of you making a comment on here I have investigated and arranged for a new sign “Moorfield Clinic” to be located on the front aspect of Fartown Health Centre. Taking the time to tell us about issues really can lead to change and improvement for others so thank you.

Cliff"
