"Helpful beyond the call of duty. Thank you"

About: Good Hope Hospital

Anything else?

I have wanted to give my gratitude before now but didn't know of this site or of the nurses name of whom I wished to heap the well deserved praise. II was taken to A&E by Ambulance around 6 months ago when I was particularly unwell.

There was one particular nurse who was polite, attentive and understanding throughout my time in the A & E unit. She made a point of making sure I was comfortable and he professionalism was nothing short of brilliant.

I was discharged the following morning but 48 hours later i was called back to the hospital by the doctors as there was an issue with my blood tests. The same nurse was on duty and made a point of coming to see me and seeing how I was.

She regularly came to check on me whilst I was waiting for the doctor and when I was discharged again she made a point of coming to see if I was ok before I left.

I would have written a letter at the time but stupidly I did not get the nurses name so the letter seemed pointless. In hindsight I wish I had asked for her name so I could have written in and praised this particular member of staff.

I know people come and moan on here but credit where credit is due.

Thanks again
