I've recently had a change of support worker, since my previous very good support worker lost his job and was reposted to ward work - despite the consultation panels stressing they were moving to support people in the community.
Now I no longer see my support worker as often. My needs haven't changed but she only works part week because she has to do telephone work at the weekend and so isn't available as much.
If I'd broken my arm would you stick a plaster on it and send me home, and then wonder why I wasn't recovering? I feel this is what you are doing with mental health.
Do the people in charge have any understanding of mental health at all? I've had an enduring mental health condition for 25 years, and know what I'm talking about, so try listening.
