I was really impressed by the care shown to my nephew by this department in what was an extremely difficult emotional situation. In the short period of time that Lawrence was in the unit, I observed a very high standard of sensitive professional care. I was always made to feel warmly welcome by all the staff. I cannot put a value how much I appreciated the understanding attitude of staff when dealing with family and friends. Very special thanks to the nurses for their fantastic attitude and knowledgeable advice they so freely gave. Also to the nurse from Organ Donation who senstively handled Lawrence's request to be an organ donor. She made me very aware of the urgent need for ethnic minorities to sign up to be organ donors.
